This model of yacht has
proven blue water ability, she has crossed the Atlantic and been round Cape Horn. She was
strongly constructed of fiberglass in 1969. She has a super big cockpit and is a very dry
boat, cruising speed an average of 5 knots under engine at 2300 rpm
Accommodation
Kalypso has a double
in a V-berth up forward with its own non-standard hatch, a double in the saloon, pilot
berth aft of the chart table; The galley is to starboard amidships. There is a
gimbaled 2 gas burner stove and S/S sink with a lot of stowage space and a modern, energy
saving Coolmatic fridge. The bathroom has a toilet, sink and hanging locker. There is an
integrated 220v shore power system on board as well as the battery system. She has a
mahogany interior with dark green upholstery in the winter and removable, washable blue
& white covers for the summer. She has CD-player with loudspeakers inside &
outside. In the cockpit is a shower. The sun-sails are usable whilst sailing and the
removable cockpit table is comfortable in harbour for seating 6 people.
